Brainspotting
Brainspotting (BSP) is a focused therapeutic approach developed by Dr. David Grand. Originating as an offshoot of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), it helps individuals process deeply held patterns or trauma by using specific eye positions that are linked to stored emotional and physical experiences.
Brainspotting helps you process and release the emotional pain, stress, or trauma that talking alone often can’t reach. By using specific eye positions, it taps into the brain’s natural healing capacity and works with the body’s stored memories and emotions. This allows you to gently move through what’s been stuck and find relief, clarity, and a greater sense of calm. Many people notice that patterns begin to shift and life feels lighter after Brainspotting sessions.
During a Brainspotting session, you and your practitioner identify a "brainspot," a point in your visual field that corresponds with emotional or somatic activation. This process taps into the brain-body connection, allowing unresolved experiences to surface and naturally process. It is a gentle, client-centered method that promotes deep healing and self-discovery.
As a Brainspotting Phase 2 practitioner, I guide you through this transformative technique to support your journey toward clarity, emotional release, and well-being.
