Therapy Intensives
Some issues need more time and space than an ordinary therapy session allows. Therapy intensives offer an opportunity to give focused, uninterrupted time to a particular issue. The extended format provides more time for exploration, deeper work, and integration.
Research on intensive psychotherapy suggests that, for some concerns, concentrated treatment can be as effective as traditional weekly therapy and may help people experience change more quickly. Having more uninterrupted time allows us to remain with what is emerging rather than repeatedly stopping at the end of the session and hoping to rekindle what emerged.
An intensive is not right for everyone, but for someone with a focused concern and a readiness for change, it can offer a contained and meaningful way to engage more fully in the therapeutic process.
