Why Expressive Arts?

When we engage in art and creativity we transcend the ego and lift our vibration. We connect to the pre-verbal parts of us that yearn for expression. We connect to the deepest part of us; a universal language, a pre-verbal primal language that connects us to our soul, our wounds, our inspiration, and our subconscious longings through symbols and messages.
What is Expressive Arts?

Expressive arts refers to any form of expression (art, movement, music, poetry, writing, visualization, and so on) that enhances one’s ability to find clarity, balance, and inner healing. Engaging in any form of expressive art enables a deeper exploration of non-verbal, subconscious, soul inspired emotional healing.
Expressive Art does not require us to be “talented” or proficient in any form of art expression. We are all creative, it is our birthright, and we all yearn to express the inefable (that which cannot be expressed or described in words). In this process we will not focus on the product. Our focus is on the process. THE PROCESS is ever revealing of deeper parts of us.

“No matter what your age or your life path, whether making art is your career or your hobby or your dream, it is not too late or too egotistical or too selfish or too silly to work on your creativity.”
― Julia Cameron
